The Cinematic Brilliance of the Batman (Spoiler talk)
This film reminded me of Gaspar Noe and Harmony Korine.
I watched it, i want to watch it again with my father
I always found the music and cinematography of this movie breathtaking and chill inducing to the point of thinking those scenes carried the punch and beauty of the film, evoking all the emotions alongside the memorable ending sequence... yet upon a recent rewatch I find it is much more than that. Not only the musical numbers are beautiful, even perfect, but the script, charcters, and the whole story is "perfect, just perfect, down to every minute detail" as Mr Homelander would say ;) From start to finish. Like, there is a scene I hadn't noticed before when Mia is in the phone to her mum as Seb sits on the small bed in their apartment, she is talking about how Seb will find a way to make his ambition all work out financially, whilst he stares at a damp patch on the ceiling, which is a reason he ends up accepting the commercial band deal. Great stuff. I found every moment was perfectly crafted to add up to a majestic storytelling and cinematic experience.
Cersei was not the main villain. The Night King was. Jon Snow and Danaerys should have won together got married then lead Westeros against the White Walkers.
You speak like you hate all of that. Don't try to talk deeper for any reason. Talk with your normal voice.
Jamie is one of my favorite characters on this show and you gave him the ending he deserves
This is simply awesome. The best ending alternative I’ve seen so far. You could crowd fund this and do an animation for last season of GoT with your storyline.
What a great final. this would have been a much better conclusion to the series.
La La Land is a movie about Being Someone's Greatest Cheerleader and Encouraging Him or Her To Excel, for His or Her Own Benefit and Not For The Purpose Of Serving Oneself aka Love.
Quality always prevails
Really well researched
I just realized that bad movie dialogue is how people actually talk in real life.
I'm not a big Tolkien fan. I enjoyed the hobbit book when I was younger. I was dragged into the cinema to watch return of the king only because I was guaranteed poon afterwards. But that's all it took and throughout the years learning the behind the scenes stuff. My god we will never be blessed with a movie let alone a trilogy like this again
I'm so happy to be a Millennial. We not only had the first generation of internet and got to see the evolution of dial up into DSL into cable, we got the evolution of video games NES and onward, and movies/books such as Harry Potter, 2nd Gen Star Wars (and first b/c of special edition), LOTR, and Sam Raimi's Spiderman!
Kevin Irshner did Empire Strikes Back (Although Lucas Created Star Wars) and you can argue that Empire made him into one of the GOATs b/c it was so compelling and was the dif between star wars being a one hit wonder and a series of films, even if it went downhill after that.
I think Wellingtonians think of the series as a single film. We all had colleagues, friends, and families tied to the production in some way, for what felt like years.
The absolutely best movies ever made.Peter Jackson is a genius. What he created was a classic masterpiece for all time. All these years later and I find myself rewatching all 3 at least once a month.I love these movies.I read Tolkien over the years and this masterpiece did the books justice.I only wish they’d made more or made the movies longer. And Virgo Mortensen is a fantastic actor. He literally brought Aragorn to life.No other actor could ever be Aragorn.Absolutely fantastic!!!!!
Whiplash was so good.
What are some good movies to watch then?
Great piece
Just watched the trilogy extended on the big screen again. 🥰
I wish they added more stuff from the books into the movie
love JP
Great great great!! I will watch this again, and then again. My favorite scene is Eowyn, with Merry's help, destroying the Witch King
Everything is perfect i was 6 when i got to see the masterpieces , i miss them , you forgot the bloopers and the sets in making , perfect thank you
These movies are the best things to ever grace cinema, they are so damn perfect and every time I watch them I cannot believe how brilliant they are. You simply cannot compare any other films to this masterpiece of a trilogy. It is phenomenal. Everything is perfect, the cast and crew, art direction visual effects, outstanding soundtrack, story structure, cinematography, sound design, practical effects and everything else! The Music is arguably the best music ever created, Howard Shore is a genius for crafting so many unique themes and motifs for everything in the world. There is nothing that these films didn't do right in my opinion, and everyone should watch them, they're like a rite of passage and culturally significant. I never fail to get emotional when watching this trilogy and I cannot stop talking about it haha
The best stories are when you can truly relate or identify with the villain
I'm not crying (over the soundtrack) you're crying 😢
Wow I didnt even know this was a thing
This is actually really well done
dude, read the book again. it seriously makes the movies better and youll actually know what the fuck you're talking about
I just watched this for the first time and I'm blown away! The atmosphere and visuals are incredible 😃
I hated how the dragons were killed off and Drogon was the last one. There should have been more dragons than just three. I hate that Cersei didn't have a more horrible death. A lot of other things I didn't like, but I'm sure everyone knows what I'm implying. There some things I liked, but it's ruined for me that the writers rushed through this season and said 'Screw you fans'. Wish they would redo season 8.
Rings of Power is bringing politically driven weasels into the fanbase now. Defending that tripe can only be done if you have some agenda, because that trashfire garbage doesn't stand on its own. It's an affront to everything Tolkien created and how hard he worked to build this universe to the smallest detail. I'm so incredibly saddened that Amazon got their dirty mitts on the rights and that the Tolkien estate didn't do enough to set ground rules on what they could do. We really needed Christopher Tolkien to hold the line, a pity he couldn't find someone to follow in his footsteps.
Great. Missed the elephant horns tho. They always made my hair stand up
Yes. This is so well thought out, and I love the way you have events echoing earlier seasons/episodes.
Sam is truely the goat
Everyone needs a Sam for a friend. 🥰
Ayo how does this only have 400 views??
I think Vertigo is Hitchcock's best.
LOTR without a doubt one of the most if not the most amazing trilogy out there! I recently finally got my gf to watch the fellowship of the ring and she fell in LOVE with the series i still have yet to watch two towers and return of the king with her but one step at a time
That reference to Top Gun Maverick for superb execution of a tried and true theme was well done. That movie has become one of my favorite movies of all time due to its perfect execution of core theme.
Its like they actually had to destroy the ring!
This movie will forever hold a special place in my heart. A girl I used to think would be my wife always told me how much she loved this movie but I just didn’t want to see it cause I’m not into musicals Then we broke up, partly because I changed, lost a lot of my passion Then she met a guy Then I watched this movie 😂
Just watched all three extended versions in theaters again at AMC. Was unreal to relive the movies in theaters. The music gives goosebumps to this day and I’ve watched the movies every year since I was a kid and will continue to watch it until I can show my kids one day. Just nothing like these films. Truly the best ever done.
Thank you!
i remember the day when I was sitting in the cinema and the trailer of LOTR was shown, I was shocked I didnt even know that movie had been made, but then another shock came - the release date said "in two years" argh
LOTR trilogy is indeed a masterpiece that stands the test of time. It's an work of art in all aspects that was made with love and dedication.... what not to love about the movies- the script, direction, character portrayals, amazing score, the sets, dialogues, costumes, etc. Saw all the 3 movies again in the theaters with the recent screenings and loved them - makes you realize how beautifully they were all made. Even after 20 years, it puts Amazon ROP to shame. The latter was a complete disaster and doesn't even come close to The Hobbit movies, let alone LOTR.
This film is fantastic. Cinema is an interest and hobby of mine, but I pay my bills with lead, brass and copper. I'm a weapon and military subject matter expert, and all of the weapons, equipment and uniforms are just brilliant, they're spot on and are so uniform it adds to the dream like atmosphere and unreality of the film. Love it when he dome shots a bad guy with a surpressed pistol and grabs his body so it won't make any noise dropping to the ground; I was trained to do the very same thing once. All of the guns, the camouflage, everything is so perfect it could only possibly exist in a dream world.
Okei, you hyped me up. Gota finally watch these movies.
I still think Brain Dead is Jackson’s magnum opus
